Professional background

 

Rhys commenced his legal career in 2002 as a Law Clerk for a Gold Coast law firm which largely specialised in Commercial and Property related matters. Having worked as a paralegal on the Gold Coast for several years, Rhys undertook the Bachelor of Laws externally through the University of New England and more recently, the Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice through Griffith University. Upon gaining admission to the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2011, Rhys commenced employment as a Solicitor in the Commercial and Property division of Rostron Carlyle.
